Dogbreth
Formed in 2009, Dogbreth is a vehicle for lead songwriter Tristan Jemsek and a rotating collective of friends to share intimate, open-hearted Rock n’ Roll. Initially based in Phoenix, AZ, then moved to Seattle, WA, and now based in Tucson, AZ with a current lineup of Jemsek, Logan Greene, Raybear, Ryan Petersavage and Ty Rutkowski. The band has toured relentlessly over the years and has released 4 studio albums, multiple EPs and singles to warm critical reception. SPIN wrote that Dogbreth “writes confident, witty songs that are tinged with a Picasso gray-cobalt, even in moments of pure celebration” and KEXP described their 2019 release Ever Loving as “bountiful with warmth and emotional intelligence.” Looking ahead to Dogbreth’s forthcoming album Believe This Rain (due out August, 2022), the band continues to take influence from guitar-driven Power Pop and mid-80’s Jangle Rock (Teenage Fanclub, Tommy Keene, Miracle Legion) while beginning to embrace more elements of experimentation and improvisation, drawing in part from Jemsek’s recent experience playing guitar with Seattle Drone Metal pioneers Earth, as well as the deep, weird and sun-bleached world of Southern Arizona that Dogbreth once again calls home.
