Railing against the 9-to-5 lifestyle, exploded onto the Seattle rock scene in the summer of 2018. Led by Hillary Tusick on vocals/guitar and featuring Sam Nowak (drums), Mary Robins (bass), and Elliott Gregory (guitar), the band has a forceful garage rock sound with a strong ear for hooks. Drawing comparisons to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Heavens to Betsy, and Veruca Salt, Linda From Work is known for enthralling performances featuring their powerful yet intimate vocals and energetic instrumentals.
Produced by Seattle rock legend Jack Endino, Linda From Work's fierce debut LP Burnout speaks to the feelings of being stretched too thin and ground under the heel of corporate pressure - you can feel the exhaustion, rage, and anxiety in Tusick's delivery. With Burnout, Linda From Work has developed a sound built both lyrically and sonically on the fiery sincerity of someone who’s reached their limit and is desperate for freedom. Conversation Pit
Born under Capitol Hill’s corner bar awnings and raised in the forests that create the balance of light and dark musical expression reminiscent of the old Pike/Pine corridor of the 1990s. Conversation Pit creates its peaks and swells of music in an orange shag covered arena christened circa 1977.
