Linda From Work
Linda From Work is a fierce garage rock band that exploded onto the Seattle rock scene in the summer of 2018. Led by Hillary Tusick on vocals/guitar and featuring Sam Nowak (drums), Elliott Gregory (guitar), and Mary Robins (bass), they have crafted a high-energy sound built on driving melodies and powerhouse vocals. Drawing comparisons to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Donnas, and Veruca Salt, Linda From Work has gotten some serious buzz in the PNW music scene with their electric stage presence and dynamic live performances.
Produced by Seattle rock legend Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden), Linda From Work's forceful debut LP Burnout speaks to the feelings of being stretched too thin and ground under the heel of corporate pressure - you can feel the exhaustion, rage, and anxiety in Tusick's delivery. With Burnout, Linda From Work has developed a sound built both lyrically and sonically on the fiery sincerity of someone who’s reached their limit and is desperate for freedom. Burnout has been featured on the Seattle Times’ Critic’s Ballots for Best Local Albums of 2021 and Martin Douglas of KEXP writes, "Burnout fully displays their gifts as an emergent force in Seattle’s ever-crowded rock scene, ruminating on failed relationships and a pernicious lack of healthy sleeping habits."
